Isn't prayer logically absurd(please consider before you simply say "no")?

An interesting viewpoint. I take a different part of that argument. I think that prayer is totally useless because nobody is listening on the other end of the line. No God, no Satan, no Heaven, no Hell, no angels, no demons, no afterlife. Prayer is a massive waste of time unless you use it as a form of deep meditation. Studies of yoga techniques reveal that meditation can have a calming effect. In that one limited sense, prayer just MIGHT have some value.
